Our View: Reaching Out

CEO, Enterprise Greece

Greece is reaching out to the world. Three years ago, the Greek government presented its National Extroversion Strategy detailing the steps the country will take to engage with partners abroad to enhance exports, attract foreign investment and raise Greece’s geostrategic profile. Greece has come a long way since then.
This month, the Greek government, with the support of Greece’s increasingly outward-oriented business community, has taken further steps on the road towards those goals. With trade delegations to India, Turkey and Serbia, Greece is cementing relations both near and far.
India, the world’s most populous nation, is fast becoming a strategic and commercial ally with bright prospects ahead. While with Turkey, our neighbor, Greece is working towards a new relationship for the benefit of both countries. And Serbia, one of Greece’s oldest friends in the region, is seeing a new economic vitality as it moves towards Expo 2027.
Commercial relations help build partnerships. And Greece, as a gateway to the European Union and a pillar of stability in Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean, is becoming a partner to the world.
