In a world facing multiple challenges, Greece continues to be a pillar of peace, stability and cooperation. On the world stage, the country is seen both as a trusted diplomatic partner and a valued commercial partner.

Greece’s decade-long export boom, combined with record inflows of foreign direct investment, shows that Greek products are trusted overseas and the country is a trusted investment destination.

The new National Strategic Plan for Extroversion reflects Greece’s determination to build on those gains by further strengthening exports and attracting further foreign investment. Our goal is for exports of goods and services to reach 60% of GDP by 2027, up from about 50% now, and for both the quantity and quality of FDI to continue to grow.

This year’s plan, the fifth, stands out for both the number and scope of activities, with 649 planned actions in 10 categories. Almost half of those activities are within Europe, underscoring Greece’s commitment to its European partners.

Because amid the multiple challenges we face, Europe must stand together.
