From China to the Middle East to North America, Greek exports are conquering the world. Made in Greece has become associated with the quality, value and innovation that characterize Greek products.

This month fresh data shows that Greek merchandise exports surpassed the €40 billion mark in the first nine months of the year – a new milestone and surpassing total merchandise exports of €39.9 billion for all of last year. The data confirms that 2022 will be another record year for Greek exporters.

The country’s decade-long export boom is testament to the growing extraversion of the Greek economy. What’s more, the increase in exports is being witnessed across the board – from petroleum products and chemicals, to building and construction materials, to food and beverage exports.

Greece’s economy has undergone a profound transformation over the last several years, reorienting itself to global markets and international investors. And the country’s rising exports (along with record inflows of foreign direct investment) are proof of Greece’s growing competitiveness on the world stage.
