Our View: A Changing World

The world has changed and Greece is changing with it. Higher world prices for energy will weigh on world economic growth, but are also spurring a new impetus towards energy security, diversification in Europe and furthering the adoption of renewable energy technologies.
Greece will play a role in this changing energy landscape: as an energy hub for Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. Over the last several years, Greece has seen major investments in new natural gas facilities and pipelines, power transmission and renewable energy sources, particularly wind and solar power.
Enterprise Greece is now taking on a pivotal and essential role in these developments. Our mission is to promote Greece’s investment opportunities that will contribute to the transformation of the country into an energy hub.
