Greece is establishing itself on the world stage. From the UN Security Council to the European Union’s anti-piracy task force in the Red Sea, Greece is stepping up. Its growing role in diplomacy and security is testament to the country’s profile as a pillar of stability and a respected international partner.

We at Enterprise Greece have also been honored by the regard of our peers. I am truly grateful to have been elected EU Regional Director to the Steering Committee of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA). This is not just a personal milestone, it is a reflection of how far Greece has come. From resilience to renewal, from recovery to leadership and trust in the global investment landscape.

Since its establishment, 30 years ago, WAIPA has grown to include 244 national and regional Investment Promotion Agencies from 162 countries – a vast network of IPAs to learn from and exchange best practices with. In our new role, the agency’s goal is simple: to build bridges. Between European IPAs. Between regions. Between vision and impact. We believe that cooperation, transparency, and shared purpose are what truly drive investment that transforms societies.

The distinction complements our recent election to the presidency of Trade Promotion Europe and as Vice-President of the ANIMA Investment Network, a network that promotes the Mediterranean as a business hub. Our increased prominence in international networks is part of our growing mission to serve as the country’s hub of extroversion.
